Tabitha Emsley, PsyD
Tabitha G. Emsley, Psy.D. obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky in 2007. She attended Spalding University where she earned both a Master’s degree in clinical psychology (2010) and a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (2013). She completed an American Psychological Association accredited internship at Illinois State University. She was licensed as a psychologist in North Carolina from 2014 to 2018 and then in Colorado since 2017.
Prior to working in private practice, Dr. Emsley practiced in VA medical centers and in college counseling centers. She has extensive experience training psychology interns and continues to have an interest in teaching and training. Dr. Emsley specializes in the treatment of PTSD and other trauma-related disorders and has vast experience working with patients with histories of sexual assault, domestic violence, and combat- and first responder-related trauma. Dr. Emsley is also proficient in various psychological assessments including ADHD testing, memory testing, IQ testing, and presurgical evaluations.
Dr. Emsley is a mother of 3 beautiful children and you can often catch her at various sporting events rooting for her kids.
Scott Emsley, PsyD
Scott A. Emsley, Psy.D. attended the University of Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He later earned a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) Degree from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed an American Psychological Association accredited internship at the VA Illiana Healthcare System in Danville, IL. He was initially licensed as a psychologist in North Carolina from 2014 to 2018 and then in Colorado since 2017 (license # PSY.0004612).
Dr. Emsley has experience treating a wide variety of clinical diagnoses and disorders, but also has particular skills helping people with growth-oriented goals such as accomplishing life goals, business and family leadership skill building, and growing the lives of themselves and others. Dr. Emsley aims to get all of his clients moving toward building the life they want. For some, this involves overcoming their mental health concerns, but the eventual goal with all of the clients is growth-oriented.
Eric Gustavson, LPC
Eric Gustavson, LPC, NCC, CFRC earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colorado State University in 2001 and his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2016. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2019 (license #15316). He is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC)
Eric is affiliated with the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota Professional Counseling Honor Society.
Eric specializes in counseling and clinical assessment, including crisis counseling, evaluation and diagnosis of mental health concerns for adolescents and adults, psychotherapy, and support. Eric has worked in mental healthcare since 2010, including crisis evaluation, residential, and private practice counseling settings.
Dale Bowen, PhD
Dale E. Bowen, Ph.D., attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1977, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1982. He has been licensed as a psychologist in Colorado since 1987 (license #1137).
He is affiliated with the American Psychological Association and National Academy of Neuropsychologists.
Dr. Bowen specializes in clinical neuropsychological services, including diagnosis and assessment, psychotherapy, and consultation with adult and geriatric patient population, evaluation and treatment of traumatic brain injury in acute and chronic settings, pain management, employee assistance, clinical staffing and supportive services.
John Gustavson, PhD
John L. Gustavson, Ph.D., attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s (1975) and Master’s (1980) Degrees in psychology, and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1982. He qualified for and was licensed as a psychologist in Iowa from 1982 to 1985, and then in Colorado since 1985 (license #987).
He is affiliated with the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychologists, and American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Gustavson specializes in psychological and neuropsychological services, including evaluation and treatment of emotional and mental disorders with adults, individual therapy, behavioral medicine, pain management, consultation, bariatric evaluations, forensic services, employee assistance, presentations, workshops and staff support.
Alena Kryvanos, PhD
Alena Kryvanos, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Anthropology from Washington State University in 2017. She subsequently obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in 2018, followed by her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the same institution in 2022. Dr. Kryvanos completed her American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited internship at the VA Western Colorado Health Care System in 2022 and continued her professional practice at the VA until 2024, when she transitioned into private practice.
In her current role, Dr. Kryvanos provides psychotherapy, psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluations, and forensic services. She also conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations, including ADHD, memory, and intellectual (IQ) assessments, as well as pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations.
Her clinical areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, severe and persistent mental illness, relationship concerns, recovery from domestic and intimate partner violence, and the psychological and behavioral factors that support successful bariatric surgery, including long-term lifestyle change and treatment adherence. Dr. Kryvanos also has a clinical interest in working with individuals experiencing sport-related performance anxiety, trauma, fear following injury or falls, burnout, perfectionism, and identity-related stress. Drawing from evidence-based psychotherapy and an understanding of high-performance environments, she helps clients build resilience, regain confidence, and navigate the psychological demands associated with pursuing meaningful goals.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training, and trauma-focused interventions. She works collaboratively with clients to increase psychological flexibility, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
